When searching for inspirational web designs, I liked the trend of incorporating prominent but slightly faded images into a page, so I wanted to experiment with that. Plus, I'm a nerd, so I love using images of books or libraries to try to capture a bit of my personality.

I liked this design, but I wanted to try a few other examples before committing to one.

I also wanted to experiment with something simpler and sleeker. I am always impressed by simplicity in design. I had fun experimenting with floating shapes that respond to changing screen sizes.
